Join us for the first Sunday talk of the year in Lee Hall 411! The topic of this year's talk series is entitled: Navigating Relationship: the good, the bad, and the confusing in friendships and dating. The talk series will 7:45pm due to the Memorial Day BBQ and begin at 7:30pm each week after that. After the talk everyone is invited to join the Chaplain in a weekly trip to McDonalds - aka the Pilgrimage to the Golden Arches :)
Join us for our first Service Saturday of the year as we embark on our good neighbor service project where we will be helping out the local Catholic Church, St. Mary of Sorrow's, which is down the street from the St. John Bosco Center by cleaning up the parish grounds. Meet at the St. John Bosco Center 11am where we ill begin with prayer and then head out to our worksite. We will end the afternoon with a free lunch and debrief from the day's project.
De-stress from the excitement and activities of the first week on campus by playing Glow Stick Capture the Flag on Ball Circle. We will meet at the Monroe Fountain at 9pm and split into teams based on glow stick color. We'll play for about an hour before ending the night with an icecream social at the St. John Bosco Center.
Guess what?! We will be at the University's Community Fair, know to the students at the "Free Stuffs Fair" on Ball Circle on Monday, August 21st from 12pm-1:30pm. We will be passing out free Ice-pops, "UMW Catholic" stickers, tote bags, and more so be sure to come check us out!
We will hold two massed on Orientation Weekend in order to accommodate the Freshmen's orientation schedule. We will hold a special 11am mass followed by lunch for all new students (we have confirmed with the University that Freshmen may come to this and it will not conflict with their orientation). We will also have our regular 5:30pm mass followed by a light reception that evening for all our Upperclassmen and anyone who was not able to attend the morning Mass. Upperclassmen are invited to join the Campus Ministry in attending the Eagle Gathering on Campus later that evening to further welcome the new students to campus. After Eagle Gathering everyone will walk over to McDonalds for some fellowship time.
CCM’s 2017 End of the Year Trip is a service trip to Elkton, Maryland where we are spending four days with the Oblate Sisters of Saint Francis de Sales.On the fifth day of our trip we will head to Baltimore for a fun day and overnight stay in the city before returning to Fredericksburg that evening.
Join the Catholic Campus Ministry Tuesday, May 2nd for a late night pancake breakfast at the Catholic Student Center before you begin your late night studying for finals! We'll have 3 kinds of pancakes, bacon, and more! All are welcome so please share this event and bring your friends!
